Samples

Hi Guys,

Sorry it has taken so long for me to put anything on the blog. Unfortunately GG hasn't been happy :(
So the last thing I have posted here was that I am waiting for my samples to arrive as they are late. Well eventually they did come on the 23rd May, after having to go down to DHL headquarters because I couldn't wait for them to deliver it to me in the morning....if I knew what was waiting I wouldn't of bothered.
So I arrive at the headquarters and they promptly give me my package. Excited I run into the car on the phone to Alex, too nervous to open the package. She convinces me to open it and TAM DAM DAMM.......ouhh!

W*F is this?? First impression. What kind of material is this? This is wrong colour? The designs are wrong? Is this screen printed? Did my 3 year old niece do the labelling? Is this a cap or a bin bag?OMG!!!!! Cant even describe the feeling that I felt that evening. It's like I just went bankrupt!

I called up the supplier and immediately made an appointment for a meeting in the morning. The whole night I spent thinking about the samples and what to do?

Than the meeting came where they just looked at the samples in an embarrassment, because that's all it was. One big embarrassment to their “company”. They managed to persuade me to give them another chance and that they will have my new samples arrive within 11 days. I sent them another 10 page essay indicating where they went wrong and what I want. Stating from size of sleeve to the complete product. Even sent them my favourite tops and cap in order for them to understand what quality is desired. It has now been 3 weeks and I haven't yet received anything!
So I have booked some appointments with other suppliers who will be able to provide me with what I desire.

Lesson learnt from this experience is, don't take peoples word if you haven't really seen what they have done in the past. It is easy for a person to convince a person that they will take care of everything and there is nothing to worry about. They are professionals and they know what they are doing....

Lesson two- if you are staring up maybe start of with a supplier from the same country. Tracking down orders and communication is difficult internationally. And even though it may look like is cheaper, remember that there is always a catch. For me it was the service they provided!

The moral of this blog....NEVER TRUST PEOPLE THAT SAY “DON'T WORRY, THIS IS OUR PROBLEM”.
